Q: How old are you?
A: 193. Give or take a few years, I may have slept through some and lost count…

Q: What's your height?
A: Average. 6’ range in my human form, maybe a little taller.

Q: Are you a virgin?
A: Um… I’ve never been with a woman in the human way, no… And I’ve never taken a mate among my own kind either, so I guess that’s a yes?

Q: Who's your mate/spouse?
A: Well, I don’t… I mean, dragons don’t often stay with the same mate for long, but… uh… Larren. Yes. That’s close enough, right?

Q: Do you have any kids?
A: Not yet. Would love to, but… /sigh/ Just not yet.

Q: What's your favorite food?
A: Meat. Especially fowl. Cooked rare. Especially with those herbs Larren puts on it… Mmm…

Q: What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
A: Hm, ice cream… A strange human dish I’ve only recently been introduced to. I don’t like the cold, but a good sweet strawberry flavor almost makes up for it.

Q: Have you ever killed anyone?
A: No. I’ve come close, but… It’s not really something I’m relishing.

Q: Do you hate anyone?
A: Hate is a strong word… I suppose I could hate my mother, Mora, or possibly my younger brother, but… No. Even them, I don’t completely hate. Although – yes. Celena. Her I hate. She’s toyed with Larren more than could ever be excusable, and for what she did to me, stealing my powers, the very essence of my being… Yes, her I would gladly kill.

Q: Have any secrets?
A: That… depends on your point of view, I suppose. Larren is quite a secret herself, though I don’t keep any secrets from her. But my dealings with her – those must remain secret, at least from my family and my mother’s friends. I would have thought it would need to be secret from my brother Hagen as well, but he’s taking it surprising well… He thinks I’m insane, of course, but then he always thought of humans as food. At least he doesn’t seem inclined to say anything to Mora…

Q: Do you love anyone?
A: Larren…I think. I’ve never… I’ve never felt this way about anyone, and I can’t stand the thought of her being in danger, being hurt… I can barely stand being away from her, but it’s a necessary evil, I suppose…

Q: What is your job?
A: Job? I have to have a job? Mostly, I just sleep, and hunt when the need arises. At least, that was all I did before I met Larren, that and avoid my family, hide out you could say. Since meeting her, though, I’ve become something of a bodyguard to her… Not in the official way that Nahm is, but more in that there’s nothing else to call it. I won’t let anything happen to her. And, of course, there is the mythological being I’m named for – the one who will destroy or save the world, depending on which mythology you’re reading from. Some seem to think I am that being, and not just named for him. That would be quite a job, indeed…

Q: Do you play any instruments?
A: No, but I sing. Not so well in this human form, but in my natural form… I’m not a vain person, but if you could only hear the choruses my people raise in the echoing towers of the mountains…

Q: Where do you think you'll be in ten years?
A: Haha, ten years? Why not ask me where I’ll be tomorrow? Ten years is not so long for someone like me, and yet I’m finding more changes now in a single day than has changed in the nearly two centuries I’ve been alive.

Q: Favorite animal?
A: I don’t think you mean that in the way I think of it, but… deer. Elk, even. Raw is the best, but cooked over a fire, with the juices sealed inside and some mild herbs sprinkled on top… that’s not bad either.

Q: Boy or girl?
A: Eh… I am male, but I prefer females. Er, wait… that didn’t come out right. I don’t eat women, not like… others I know. But yes, I am male, and my mating preference – not dietary – is definitely female.

Q: What do you do to relax?
A: Sleep. Or hunt. Hunting isn’t exactly relaxing, but it works out stress in its own way. And, more recently, I sit by the fire, and dream… Sleeping isn’t so dangerous in this human form as it is in my natural form, so dozing has become actually relaxing, instead of simply an escape into oblivion. And especially relaxing is sitting near Larren. Being close enough to touch her is even better.

Q: Have any family members?
A: Ugh… Yes. My father passed when I was very young, but my mother, Mora, is still alive. And I have my younger brother – a real brother, by both parents, which I can tell you is unusual for our kind. His name is Hagen, he’s about two decades younger than me, and he’s… Well, he tries to be like our mother. Not a nice person. Still, I find when it comes down to it, he is my flesh and blood and I will more readily side with him against a foe than against him. If he threatens Larren again, though, I may not be responsible for my actions, flesh and blood or not…

Q: Do you have any special powers or talents?
A: Um… No? I suppose some would see it as fantastical to be able to shift between my natural form and the human one, but really, it’s something my people have been doing since the dawn of time, or so the stories say. I am a firebreather, though – not all dragons are, so that’s something unique, I suppose. I’m also a flyer, though it’s honestly more rare to not be able to fly than to have the ability.

Q: Water, Earth, Fire, or Air?
A: Haha! Fire, and, secondly, air. I don’t mind earth, but water... Let’s just say I’m not much of a swimmer, at least not in my natural form.
